Be Prepared: Severe South Dakota, Iowa, & Minnesota Storms Coming
Strong storms are blowing in this week to parts of South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota. The Tri-State area could see large hail, damaging winds, and even some isolated tornadoes.
Our friends at the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls are preparing South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota for potential severe weather Wednesday afternoon into the evening hours.
On a scale of Level 1 to Level 5, there are slight risks (Level 2) to this storm system moving in the South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota areas. The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls explains the exact timing and location of these storms that could cause a lot of damage in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota.
Large hail, strong winds, and maybe a few tornadoes are going to affect most of South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and even portions of Nebraska. The highest risk for severe storms in the Tri-State area will be between 3 PM to 9 PM.
Besides the possibility of strong storms, the first major heat wave of the season will be affecting most of the Sioux Empire this week.
