Calling all movie lovers in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa! One of the Sioux Empire's most historic drive-in theaters announced its opening date for the season.

With Mother Nature finally warming up in parts of the Sioux Empire, we can be excited about enjoying summer nights at the Verne Drive-In!

Located just east of Sioux Falls, the Verne Drive-In in Luverne, Minnesota, is a timeless tradition for families and friends. It's one of only five drive-in theaters left in Minnesota.

Families can make more wonderful movie memories at the Verne Drive-In beginning this April! The Verne Drive-In is set to open for the 2026 season on Friday, April 17th, 2026!   You can see which movies they're playing each week by keeping an eye on their Facebook page. Gates open at 7:00, show starts around dusk.
