Spring? What Spring? Sioux Falls Forecast Calls for Summer Heat Early

I hope you enjoyed our week of spring! If we even get that much. Summer seems ready to cook. The latest forecast from our friends at the National Weather Service Office in Sioux Falls shows Sioux Falls getting awfully close to 90 degrees next week.

I wouldn't be surprised if some places on the giant concrete slab that is Sioux Falls get well into the 90s next week.

May Is Bringing Summer Early to South Dakota

It feels kinda weird for it to be this hot this early in the year. I mean, I remember snow falling at the beginning of a few Mays over the years.

So far in 2025, Mama Nature has been an overachiever with many days in the 80s already. But, according to the historical record, Sioux Falls doea have a habit of getting relly freakin hot in May.
