Engagement Magic In 12 South Brings Joy To Abby And Family
Abby’s engaged, and we couldn’t be happier for her!
She shared the story of her proposal, and it’s one for the books. It all happened last Saturday. Her fiancé seemed pretty normal all day, but looking back, Abby noticed a few little clues. For one, he asked about her nails—something he usually doesn’t care about. Then, he had a playlist of songs that reminded him of her playing in the car. Later, he told her to get ready for an early dinner at 4:30 PM. Abby thought that was a little strange, but it turns out he planned it that way so she could see the ring in natural daylight. The spot? The same restaurant where they had their very first date in 12 South. Walking in brought back all those sweet memories.
Then came the big moment. He pulled her aside, gave her a hug, and started saying all the things that led up to the happiest question: “Abby, will you marry me?” Abby says it was all a blur—she even blacked out a little from excitement—but of course, she said yes right away! Afterward, a couple walking by offered to snap a photo for them, and they celebrated with a private dinner on the patio, complete with champagne. Her parents were in on the surprise, but Abby waited until she got home to FaceTime her mom, who was completely shocked and thrilled.
As for wedding plans, there’s no rush. Abby says they might be thinking about late next year or maybe 2027. For now, she’s just loving every second of being engaged, admiring her beautiful ring, and soaking in this exciting new chapter.
