The Bobby Bones Show kicked off today’s show talking about a major reality TV mistake after Lunchbox read that two contestants were removed from Survivor Season 49 for secretly talking before filming. It sparked a discussion about the biggest mistakes they’ve ever made in their own lives.

Amy shared that one of her biggest regrets was rushing into marriage with her now ex-husband. Looking back, she wishes they had taken more time before making such a huge decision.

Lunchbox revealed that he still thinks about a missed opportunity at least twice a week. Years ago, he was hoping for a call from The Real World after applying to be on the show. They ended up calling his home phone instead of his cell, and he was in class, missing what he believes could have been his big break in reality TV. Although there is no proof it was actually them calling besides an area code from Los Angeles.

Eddie’s regret took him back to his early years of marriage. He and his wife were debt-free and financially stable, until he decided to splurge on a Pearl Jam and U2 concert in Hawaii. They put the trip on a credit card and went on to rack up $40,000 in debt afterward.

Bobby had several stories to share, ranging from high school football to college basketball. As captain of his football team, he once made the wrong call during a coin toss, forcing his team to kick off at both the start of the game and after halftime, a decision he still very much regrets today since it was a playoff game. He also recalled drag racing lawnmowers while working at a golf course and getting caught by his boss (thankfully, without losing his job). Finally, Bobby admitted that skipping a big March Madness game between Gonzaga and Arkansas, assuming they’d lose, turned out to be a huge mistake when they won and made it to the Elite Eight.
