Hartford Rallies Behind Guy Caslin In His Cancer Battle
Small towns are awesome. Everyone knows each other, and people are always helping out when someone needs it. One small town, Hartford, South Dakota, is doing just that for a guy named Guy Caslin.
I’ve known Guy for a long time. We’re both from Kennebec, and I even went to school with his older brother Wade, so I’ve known their family for years. Now, Guy’s going through some tough stuff with his health, and the town is stepping up to help.
I saw a poster that said Guy has been diagnosed with a rare kind of cancer. He’s going to need a lot of treatment over the next 9 to 12 months, including chemo and a stem cell transplant.
To help out, the South Bar in Hartford is doing a raffle. The money from the tickets will help pay for his medical bills, travel, and other care he’ll need while he recovers. The drawing is on July 7th.
Here are the prizes:
Henry Golden Boy Silver .22
Rock Island M1911 .45 ACP
Rock Island M1911 9MM
A custom fishing rod made by Justin Carlon
I’m planning to head over to Hartford to grab a ticket. Maybe I’ll see you there!
Thanks for sharing this on Facebook or wherever you can. I really appreciate it—and I know Guy and his family will too!
