Multiple Construction Projects Begin This Week Across Sioux Falls That Could Affect Your Commute.
According to the City Of Sioux Falls residents should prepare for several lane and sidewalk closures starting this week as utility work begins at multiple locations throughout the city.
10th Street Project
Starting Wednesday, October 29 at 8:30 a.m., the outside eastbound lane of East 10th Street will close between Bahnson Avenue and Sycamore Avenue.
M.J. Electric, LLC will perform utility work, with the south sidewalk closed and pedestrians detoured to the north side. This project is expected to last until November 12.
Kiwanis Avenue Work
Also beginning Wednesday morning, the outside northbound lane of South Kiwanis Avenue will close between 28th Street and 26th Street.
Dave's Construction LLC will handle utility work through October 31, with the east sidewalk closed and pedestrian traffic rerouted along South Williams Avenue.
Weekend Intersection Closures
On Friday, October 31, MidAmerican will conduct utility work at two major intersections. At 41st Street and Louise Avenue, the outside eastbound lane and northbound right turn lane will close at the southeast corner.
Simultaneously, the southwest corner of 41st Street and Marion Road will see closures affecting the eastbound right turn lane and the outside southbound lane. Both projects are scheduled for completion by day's end.
Motorists should exercise caution, reduce speeds near all construction zones, and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
