Things You Don’t Know About The Great Pumpkin Roll
What do you do with your Halloween pumpkin when Halloween is in your rearview window? That is assuming no one has used it as some sort of sports item and kicked it down your street or smashed it on your boulevard.
Well, you could leave it sitting on your porch until the inevitable happens and it starts to shrivel, mold, and rot - or - you could roll it down a long hill with fellow pumpkin rollers cheering you on.
That is the idea behind the 2nd Annual Great Pumpkin Roll! It's a fantastically fun, family-friendly event coming up this Saturday, November 2, at Tuthill Park. From 1 until 4, join in a lot of post-Halloween hijinks with your leftover pumpkins.
Your pumpkins will be rolled down the big Tuthill sledding hill and prizes will be awarded for the top 3 pumpkins in two categories: farthest roll and shortest roll.
After the big pumpkin roll, there will be pumpkin-flavored snacks and apple cider, along with pumpkin-themed games and crafts.
So when the Halloween candy buzz has you looking for something to wear off extra energy, head over to the Great Pumpkin Roll for a whole lot of fun with your family and friends!
