These have been tough times indeed for businesses with numerous locations across the country.

It seems like just about every week there's a new chain struggling with their bottom line forcing big cuts and closures.

The latest group to hit the skids is Advance Auto Parts, which says about 700 of their roughly 4,700 locations will close in the next few months.

In a press release announcing their 'restructuring plan', the company says the most recent sales figures are down more than three percent and that closing 'certain non-performing, non-strategic stores' will help the chain survive in the long run.
