A popular Sioux Falls restaurant is leaving its longtime downtown location at the end of February.

Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen is vacating its location in the Jones 421 Building on North Phillips Avenue.

In a live video message on Facebook Tuesday (February 3) night, owner Inkaa Beaudion made the announcement saying that the business ‘didn’t choose to leave’, but had ‘no choice but to transition out of the building’, calling it ‘an abrupt situation.’

Beaudion stressed that this is not the end of the restaurant, but there is no new location lined up at this point.

In the years Swamp Daddy’s has occupied space in the Jones 421 building, they have endured fires, floods, and a glycol leak that put them out of commission from January to August 2024.

Swamp Daddy’s isn’t leaving their current location without a bang.

The restaurant is planning a big Mardi Gras celebration during its remaining days at the current spot and has also announced that it will be adding its 2026 Burger Battle entry, the Bayou Stack Burger, to its menu for the remainder of February.
